Cesc Fabregas joins Monaco from Chelsea
Chelsea and Spanish midfielder cesc febregas had recently joined french giants As Monaco on 3 and half year deal .The 31-year-old World Cup winner has committed himself to Monaco until June 30, 2022, having put pen to paper on a three-and-a-half year contract.
Fabregas chose Monaco ahead of his other suitors because he knows the sporting director, Emenalo, who made him come to Chelsea in 2014 from Barcelona. He now moves on to Monaco, coached by his former Arsenal colleague Thierry Henry, having been understandably unwilling to continue as a deputy to Jorginho at Chelsea.English football’s loss is French football’s gain and he will be a crucial addition to a Monaco side fighting against relegation from Ligue 1. He joined Chelsea from Barcelona in 2014, having played 303 times for Arsenal between 2003 and 2011.Fabregas won two Premier League titles, two FA Cups and a League Cup in 501 appearances in English football. With the Gunners, he won the FA Cup and played in the 2006 Champions League final defeat against Barcelona, before joining the Catalan giants in 2011.The Spanish midfielder has struggled to break into Maurizio Sarri’s starting XI this season, and has played just six times for the Blues in the Premier League .He captained the Blues in the FA Cup against Nottingham Forest on Saturday and was in tears as he applauded fans at the final whistle
Henry and febregas are now be hoping that by teaming up once again, they will be able to lift 19th-placed Monaco out of the Ligue 1 relegation zone.
